We needed to build an incredibly complex membership website project on a budget. We accepted the challenge and exceeded expectations for the British Blind and Shutter Association with the delivery of a WordPress and CiviCRM powered website including a trade search directory and an extensive join online process.
The British Blind and Shutter Association (BBSA) is the only national trade association for companies that manufacture, supply and install interior and exterior blinds, awnings, security grilles and shutters and associated motor and control systems.
Douglass Digital won a competitive tender to deliver a brand new membership website and CRM system for the organisation. A key part of the project was to implement a intensive join online process with a complex trade directory relying on filters and location proximity searching.
The website has been delivered using CiviCRM and WordPress, we implemented a custom theme which has been built efficiently meaning that the website performs well when under pressure some features include:
- Corporate membership structure with staff access
- Trade and public search directory
- Committee section based on roles within CRM
- Online shop
- Knowledge library
- Integrated with Stripe, GoCardless and Paypal
It has been a pleasure working with BBSA on this project, sharing our ideas and experience gained within the membership sector and being able to add value to BBSA. We are very proud of the end result!

After a lot of searching for the right partner to develop our integrated CRM and website project we engaged Douglass Digital.
