Douglass Digital were pleased to be appointed out of all the Cambridge agencies approached for this website project. The project was started with a number of workshops with the core marketing team and then this was opened up to the wider John Henry team, a member from each department across the UK got involved to help review the current site and take part in the workshops to help form a plan how the new website should look and work.
Many staff felt some of the messages were not as clear as they could be and some content relevant to their part of the business was not always easy to find, through these content workshops the team were able to arrange this in a much better structure.
The new design includes a very simple navigation with three main sections that was born out of the scoping workshops, Expertise, About John Henry Group and National Coverage. The national coverage section includes an interactive map to show the reach of the group making it very prominent at the top of the site. Another key area of the site is the careers page, many users come to look for employment within the organisation to this along with latest news and the hub login have been kept as a second menu at the top for ease of use.
Each page was designed and placed on InVison so we could test and gather feedback from the team at John Henry, this also allowed us to make any amendments quickly and easily.
The site was built and maintained on WordPress CMS system, allowing for easy content management and a future proof solution for the group.
