Since the last WooCommerce update, improvements have been made to create new features such as:
- Added shipping zones
- Improved the cart experience
- Created a new ‘My Account’ area
- New options for filtering products
- Updates made to the payment options available through on boarding wizard
- New payment of tokenisation and the alignment of our API with the WordPress REST API
Shipping Zones gives you more flexibility:
Before the latest release of WooCommerce, if store owners wanted to apply a shipping method to a few different locations then this wasn’t so easy to do.
With the new update, store owners can now define specific zones using ZIP or Postal codes or by being fairly broad using a Continent. The store owners can then add the relevant shipping methods to each zone.
Once customers make a purchase, they can use the ‘My Accounts’ page to manage it- everything from seeing their orders, downloading a product or updating their account details.
Stripe and Paypal now available through on boarding wizard:
You can take credit card payments through the standard PayPal gateway that s built into WooCommerce. Now more custom payment options by making Stripe and PayPal Powered by Braintree is available directly in the onboarding wizard.
The upgrade is available now! We look forward to using this new WooCommerce version!!
