WordPress 4.5 is due for release on 12th April 2016, this is good news for web designers as there will be a range of new features to look forward to using. Here are some ways WordPress 4.5 will be better for users:

Theme Logo Support- A lot of WordPress themes already allow users to upload custom logo using their own options panel, but with the core support for this feature, it would be possible for users to do that from the theme customiser.

Visual Editor Improvements- WordPress 4.5 will bring some new improvements to the visual editor which will improve the writing experience for users.

Inline Link Editing- Pressing CTRL+K will show an inline insert link menu. You can just type the URL and continue writing your post without removing your hands from the keyboard

More Inline Text Shortcuts- WordPress 4.5 is introducing more shortcuts like ‘code’ for code and **bold** for bold

Improved Moderate Comment Screen- WordPress sends you notifications when there is a new comment submitted. By clicking on the approve, spam or trash link in the email, it will then take you to a screen where you can see that comment with a button to perform the correct action.

Responsive Preview in Customiser- By clicking on the device icon to show Desktop, tablet and mobile previews, it will give you a general idea on how the site would look like on these devices.

Optimised Image Size Generation- WordPress 4.5 will improve this further more, as it will optimise the images further to reduce their site by up to 50% without any visible quality loss.

Allow Users to Login Using Email- WordPress never allowed users to login using their email address, this is set to change now as users can use their email address associated with their WordPress account.
